19 of Medvedev's 21 titles have been achieved on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev secured his initial title for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition championship match.
The Russian, a former number one, has had a challenging period, managing just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
His varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in particular - led to him dropping out of the elite rankings and eventually separating with long-time mentor Cervara.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has consistently advanced in the last few weeks - peaking in a hard-fought three-set triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This marks his maiden title following the Italian tournament and first on a hardcourt from spring of 2023.
The win also means the Russian has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one distinct events.
"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my two daughters simultaneously, so to get a championship is really nice," commented world number 14 Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my younger daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I got when my child her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six finals, comprising in Halle in the past months.
Medvedev's defensive approach and regular outbursts on the tennis court had prompted observers to question if his capacity to compete at the highest level was concluded.
But the player has implemented adjustments in the past month, attempting to advance forward and play assertively, backed up by an better serve.
He fought back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, winning four of the concluding five games to take the lead.
Both players traded breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, attempting for his first professional victory, seized the initiative to push for a third set.
He saved four early-game opportunities in a close final set before the Russian secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Fittingly, Medvedev earned victory with a point at the front of the court, with his opponent incapable to control a return after a lengthy match.
