Australia's law enforcement have ended the operation for a four-year-old child who has been lost in the outback for approximately several weeks, after additional efforts proved unsuccessful to find any traces of the boy.

The child was spotted engaging near his family property on a secluded rural property close to Yunta, about 186 miles from Adelaide, on late September.

His grandmother left him alone for about thirty minutes before returning, only to find the boy nowhere to be found, triggering one of the most extensive land and air operations in the region's history.

Latest Situation

Authorities - who do not believe foul play - say they will persist examining, but that the matter has become a "recovery operation".

Recently, police briefly reduced the search, only to recommence it on this week alongside numerous Australian Defense Force staff.

"Commissioner the commissioner said officials were searching a more extensive region based on revised evaluations from survival and search specialists, rather than any new information."

Mission Difficulties

On the end of last week, police stated that the new search had not discovered any traces of the child.
